The Philadelphia Catholic League swimming championships were held Sunday at La Salle University and Archbishop Wood finished sixth in the team standings.

Tom Whelan was the Vikings' top finisher, second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.12). He and gold medalist Matt Harner of Father Judge are juniors, so they'll renew that feud next season.

Wood's Billy Langlois (1:03.69) finished fourth in the breaststroke added a fourth in the 100 butterfly (56.01).

Whalen and Langlois joined Dave Keller and Brendon McGhee to finish fourth (1:47.90) in the 200 medley relay. With McGhee and Jim Hurley, they were sixth in the 400 free relay (3:34.72).
